In Loving Memory of Our Dad, Wendall Corey Smith — or, as he was known throughout the community, “Smitty”.

Our family is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love and support we have received following the loss of our dad. Seeing so many family members, friends, former football players he coached, former shipmates, and members of the community come together to honor him at his service was a beautiful reminder of just how many lives he touched.

We have created this GoFundMe to raise funds for the Ledyard Youth League, where our dad coached and announced games for upwards of a decade. Coaching was such an important part of his life, and we can think of no better way to honor his memory than by giving back to a program and community that meant so much to him.

We are deeply thankful for every donation, shared memory, kind word, and expression of love our family has received. Thank you for helping us honor our dad and continue his legacy in the community he loved. ❤️

At the conclusion of the fundraiser, all net proceeds will be donated directly to the Ledyard Youth League in Smitty’s memory.
