In Memory of Our Beloved Jeanne Pierazzi

Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that we announce that our beloved Jeanne Ann Pierazzi passed away on June 9th, 2021, after succumbing to her third bout of cancer in 13 years.

Jeanne is survived by her sister-in-law Phyllis Pierazzi, Phyllis’ daughters, Lisa, Jennifer, Christina, Jessica, Kimberly, Julia, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and distant relatives and friends.  She is predeceased by her parents Guido (Curly) and Kathleen Pierazzi, sister Joan, and brother Don. His nickname for her was Curly Top Twinkle Toes.

Jeanne was born in Redwood City, CA, on December 8, 1950.  She attended Saint Vincents School in Santa Barbara, CA.  Jeanne worked at various jobs in her adult life; however, her favorite and longest employment was Safeway on Woodside Road in Redwood City, CA. She worked there for over 20 years as a courtesy clerk and in the floral shop. As a courtesy clerk, she knew many patrons and kept up with how their family lives changed and grew over time.  She enjoyed the creativity in making the floral arrangements.  She was much loved by the employees and patrons of the store. She retired in 2018.

Jeanne’s passions in life were being with her family, traveling with them, knitting, crocheting, and making gifts and cards for people.  She loved every person she met without judgment, and if you were lucky enough to be one of those people, you definitely felt it. The next great loves of her life were the San Francisco Giants, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Golden State Warriors.  Jeanne would have any device available listening to the games and keeping score on her paper scorepads any season these teams were playing.  Nothing about the teams escaped her notice.  She could tell you anything about any of the teams from the present to the distant past.  She and another friend, Diane W. (predeceased), used to call each other on the phone and watch the games together.  Friends were able to gift her a cardboard cutout for the most recent SF Giants season.  She was so excited to be able to “attend” the games.

Jeanne is a cherished member of the Bay Area Christian Church and enjoyed having friends and creating a family.  She was a participant in many home discussion groups (Bible Talks).  The latest group she joined was the Cancer Chicks, a support group for those living with cancer and other long-term health challenges.  She was able to attend (via Zoom) the most recent meeting and hear the group's voices, which made her very happy.  Although Jeanne had cancer, she never let it defeat her enthusiasm for life or faith in God.  She fought the battle from 2008 to 2021.

Any funds collected will go toward her funeral and memorial costs, as well as any lingering bills.

Thank you in advance for any prayers, good thoughts, or support you can provide.
