Hi, my name is Keona. I’m 19 years old and writing this with the heaviest heart. My dad recently passed away unexpectedly, and as his oldest daughter, it’s now on us to take care of things—including planning his funeral.

My dad was deeply loved. He was the kind of man who would troll you on Facebook but help you if you needed. He was kind, funny, strong, and always made people feel welcome. He was the best dad either of us could’ve ever asked for, and he loved his kids more than anything in the world.

My little sister and I are heartbroken. We weren’t ready to lose him, and we definitely weren’t prepared for the financial weight that comes with something like this. I’m doing everything I can to be strong for her and to honor my dad the way he deserves to be honored—but I can’t do it alone.
