In Memory of our Beloved Brother, Francis Kang

With deep pain and sadness, we regret to inform you that our dear brother, Francis Kang, has gone home to be with the Lord. On December 30th, 2023, Francis passed from natural causes in the comfort of his own home.

At the young age of 42, Francis impacted thousands with his life’s commitment to Jesus Christ. He demonstrated what it meant to relentlessly hold on to the presence of God, no matter what storms disrupted this journey of life. He demonstrated a resiliency that only the words of Job can express:

“Though He Slay me, Yet I will Hope in Him” (Job 13:15)

He embodied love, loyalty and hope at every opportunity. He was a friend and a true brother; a selfless soul who would grieve with your pain, and celebrate your victories like they were his own. If you were his friend, in his heart you were his family. Most importantly, he was a faithful, faithful son, to his parents, and his Heavenly Father above.

During his final days, he left us with a demonstration of having the fullness of God, living inside oneself. A few weeks ago, our brother Francis had returned from Uganda from a missions trip. He returned a marked man with a contagious faith like never before. He was a walking invitation of the Hope in Christ. Francis selflessly had visions, hopes, and dreams for not only his friends, but countries around the world. Undoubtedly, he was called home with his cup overflowing with a legacy of love that all of us will carry, until we meet again.

Last night, we had visited his room one final time, and serendipitously saw his bible open to a verse that perfectly embodies his life and legacy:

The Future Glory
18 Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. 19 For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are. 20 Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, 21 the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay. (Romans 8)

As we mourn this heavy loss, we ask that you contribute to his memorial fund. All donations will be used to assist with funeral costs and to support his elderly father during this time of need.

Funeral details will be posted as soon as we receive them so please look out for updates.

“Well done my good and faithful servant”, you’re finally home.

We will forever love and miss you, Francis.
