In Memory of Our Beloved Allan Henry

Donation protected
On Sunday, 6th April, 2025, Allan Henry sadly and unexpectedly passed away. Two of his friends discovered his body at his home in Jersey. Unfortunately, his oldest sister was informed of his untimely death with a knock on her door, by the police, at midnight. As you can imagine, it was devastating hearing such news. Since that awful night, family and friends are having a hard time dealing with such traumatic news and all that death involves. Despite our grief, 3 family members have already made one trip by plane from England to Jersey to start proceedings. Such tasks included finding a suitable funeral director, meeting with someone from the coroners office, clearing out his property, visiting his workplace and informing acquaintances of his untimely death. All of this was done within 24 hours! We will need to make at least one more trip to finalise things and have a ceremony that we can all be proud of.

Due to inconclusive post-mortem results, an inquest has been opened with the final date being 13 November 2025. Because of this, it will be a long road for those who are mourning. To ease the grief and enable family and friends to have a form of closure, we have decided that the funeral services should take place sooner rather than later.

Thinking about funds at such a time of despair is a burden that unfortunately we must carry. However, it is not a burden that needs to be carried alone. This load can be lightened with your help. Therefore, we are raising funds to help cover the funeral expenses and support us during this incredibly difficult time. Every contribution, no matter the amount, brings comfort and relief to those navigating this loss—and reminds us all of the strength and compassion of this community.

Allan Henry was an entertaining man full of character. He had many friends and touched many lives. We can’t keep up with all the tributes, but are grateful for all the messages of condolences that we have received. Allan made people laugh. He loved to have a good time and he was excellent at what he did within the hair and beauty industry. As well as being a rather flamboyant dresser himself, his passion was making women beautiful and he did it well. He loved to make his clients both feel and look good.

He lived life to the full and he loved his later years in Jersey. His kindness, laughter, and love touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. As we grieve this immense loss, we are also coming together to honour his memory in the most meaningful way we can.

Our beloved Allan was ready to take a slower pacer in life, which he definitely did. That was the reason for his move to Jersey. His family are convinced that it would only be right for him to have an honourable funeral service there, in a community that became his own, to reflect his life and the legacy he has left behind.

Again, words cannot express how grateful we will be for any donations that you can give for this worthy cause. It will aid our healing process and help us to be at peace with our loss knowing that we were there for him as much in life as in death.

With gratitude
