Hello everyone, my name is Zaymar Clarke ( Oliver son), and I am reaching out during one of the hardest times in my life.
My dad, Dolphyn Clarke, also known as Oliver or Ollie, tragically lost his life due to cardiac arrest. His brain was without oxygen for approximately 90 minutes. When I first arrived at the hospital, doctors told me he would likely only survive a few minutes to an hour—but my dad was a warrior.
He always called me a soldier, but he was the real soldier.
I stood by my dad’s side as I watched him fight for his life-on-life support for three long days. He did not give up easily on his family, his friends, or the people whose lives he touched. He fought until the very end, until his heart could no longer beat.
My dad shaped me into the person I am today. His strength, discipline, and love are the reason I continue to push forward. What hurts the most is knowing he won’t be here to see some of the most important moments of our lives. He won’t get to watch my little brother graduate high school, my sister walks across the stage and graduate college or see me continue and grow in my military career something he was always so proud of.
My dad leaves behind his loving children and a loving wife, and the loss he leaves in our family is impossible to put into words. He was our foundation our protector, provider, and biggest supporter.
Ollie loved golf, but more than that, he loved the people. Old Oaks Country Club was more than a workplace to him it was a second family. He truly cared about every member and staff/co-workers, and he spoke about you all with love and respect. He found joy in building relationships, making people smile, and bringing positive energy wherever he went. If you knew my dad, you knew his smile, his hustle, and his heart.
You were never hungry around my dad he would give you his last dollar or share his meal with you just to make sure you were eating with him. He always put others before himself and made sure his family and the people around him were taken care of. He raised me and my brothers and sisters to be strong warriors, and his lessons will live on through us forever.
The funds raised will go toward funeral and burial expenses and to help ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has reached out, donated, from, friends to family including the Old Oaks Country Club family. Your support, whether through a donation or simply sharing this fundraiser, means more than words can express.
I and my family is forever grateful for any help as we honor Ollie’s memory and lay him to rest.
Thank You Everyone Once Again May God Bless YOU!
