In memory of Olguita Londoño

On Sunday, September 5th, while joyfully dancing at her cousin's long-awaited wedding, surrounded by people that adored her, and wearing her trademark teal green and yellow butterflies in her hair, our dear Olguita had a devastating aneurysm. Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, her time on earth was cut too short. She danced straight into heaven.
Olguita was only 19 when her own mother died of an aneurysm. Today, she leaves behind her boys, Mateo, 19, and Lucas, 17.
Olguita was an artist at heart, she filled the world around her with beautiful colors. As was her wish, she left the world one last precious wish, donating her organs and saving many lives in the process.
Olguita's business selling her art as souvenirs all over the Caribbean was hit hard by the two recent hurricanes and even harder by Covid. She was working nonstop to turns things around, but as her boys bring her home and prepare for life after her, they will need our financial assistance along our love and moral support.
El domingo 5 de septiembre, mientras bailaba feliz en el esperado matrimonio de su prima, rodeada de gente que la amaba, con el pelo lleno de mariposas y usando su color favorito (lo que todos llamábamos "verde Olguita"), Olguita tuvo un aneurisma cerebral. A pesar de los esfuerzos del personal médico, su tiempo en la tierra se acabó demasiado rápido. Entró bailando al cielo.
Olguita tenía solo 19 años cuando su mamá se murió de un aneurisma. Hoy son sus hijos Mateo y Lucas, de 19 y 17 años, quienes tendrán que enfrentar la vida sin su mamá.
Olguita tenía corazón de artista. Llenó el mundo de colores. Como ella lo había escogido, le dejó al mundo un último regalo: sus órganos fueron donados y salvará muchas vidas.
Olguita tenía un negocio en el cual vendía souvenirs con su arte por ciudades de todo Estados Unidos y por el Caribe. Su negocio sufrió muchísimo con los huracanes recientes, y aún peor con Covid, que frenó totalmente el turismo. Ella estaba trabajando sin descanso para sacar el negocio adelante, pero sus hijos necesitarán nuestro apoyo económico además de nuestro amor y apoyo moral en este momento inconcebiblemente difícil.
