Octaviano Angel Mora

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Octaviano Angel Mora, who was born on July 16, 1943, in Alausi Ecuador, and went to be with the Lord on January 18, 2025, at the age of 81.

Octaviano was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and Christian missionary, touching countless lives with his faith and generosity. He is survived by his beloved wife, Vilma Antonia Mora; his daughters, Vilma Alexandra Cardona and Doris Elizabeth Swafford; and his sons, Douglas Mora and Paul Michael Mora. His legacy of love also lives on in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.

A man of boundless energy and an open heart, Octaviano was always willing to help anyone in need, whether it meant climbing tall trees to trim branches, painting walls, removing bee nests, or simply lending a hand to a friend. His generosity and kindness were matched by his zest for life—he loved to live, eat, smile, hug tightly, and dance with joy.

Octaviano’s deep faith and dedication to God were central to his life. As a Christian missionary, he served in many churches throughout his life, most recently at Holy Trinity in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

He was a man of many talents and passions. An electrician by trade, Octaviano was also a gifted photographer with a keen eye for capturing the beauty of the world. He loved playing cards—solitaire, poker, and any other game that brought people together. He was a globetrotter at heart, filled with pride for his birthplace of Ecuador but claiming the world as his home, with a deep knowledge of cities and capitals that astounded all who knew him.

In his quiet moments, Octaviano could be found resting in front of the TV, reflecting on a life well lived. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, faith, and joy that will forever inspire those who knew him.
