I received Nola in extremely poor condition. She was very weak as she was pulled from her mother too early and diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection by the vet. After her diagnosis, I kept up with her eye medicine, which was given by the vet, and her eating and drinking. As time went on, improvements were showing immensely.

However, Nola's health began to decline. Her upper respiratory infection symptoms started showing again and she had developed a "slight head tilt" to the right. She had extreme difficulty walking and was consistently falling over. I immediately took her back to the vet. As they ran numerous tests and did extensive bloodwork, they were unable to diagnose her condition or do anything for her, but they hinted that she had FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis).

FIP is a deadly infection found in young cats. They have just recently discovered a cure, but it is costly, ranging from $800-$1000 a month for medication. After the visit to the vet, my family and I continued to do supportive care for her. Unfortunately, Nola Darling died in my arms, showing all signs of FIP.
