Friday night our 12-year-old Noelle passed away unexpectedly.

There are no words that make sense of this. She was a daughter, a little sister, a niece, an aunt, and a force of personality in our home. She had strong opinions, a serious face that could intimidate anyone, and a heart that loved deeply.

She loved swimming and never outgrew her mermaid phase. She filled the house with singing, Christmas music (especially “Noel”), and endless stories about whatever she had just learned. She loved cats, spicy snacks (especially Takis), and had an undying love for Ryan Reynolds.

She’d proudly steal her sister Emma’s Wolverine jersey and makeup, hated when Emma practiced viola, and was always dressed up and ready to share what she had learned with absolute confidence.

She was completely, unapologetically herself — and she was loved by everyone who knew her.

Our family is trying to navigate an unimaginable loss.

We are raising funds to help cover funeral expenses and to give her mom the space and time she needs to grieve without immediate financial stress. Funds will also support counseling for her family as they begin to process this heartbreak.
