In Memory of Niraj Shrestha: Aid His Loved Ones

Dear Friends and Community,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic loss of Niraj Shrestha, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Born in 1981 in Maitidevi, Kathmandu, Nepal, Niraj moved to the United States in 2017 to provide a better life for his family. Settling in Pittsburg, CA, he worked tirelessly as a chef at Panda Express to support his loved ones.

Niraj went missing on December 15, 2024. After weeks of uncertainty and anguish, his body was tragically found on December 29, 2024, near the Marina, close to his home. The pain of losing him is immeasurable, and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled.

Niraj was a hard-working, kind-hearted man who loved his family deeply, especially his 19-month-old daughter, whom he cherished more than life itself. He was not only the pillar of his own family but also a devoted son to his parents and a supportive older brother to his younger siblings in Nepal.

We are reaching out to our community during this difficult time to support his grieving family. The funds raised will help cover the following:

Funeral and memorial expenses: to honor Niraj’s life.

Financial support for his unemployed wife and young daughter: as they navigate life without him.

Travel expenses for family members from Nepal: who wish to say their final goodbyes and attend the funeral.

Niraj worked tirelessly to provide for his loved ones, and now it’s our turn to give back in his memory. Any contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference for his family as they try to rebuild their lives.
