Soccer Scholarship in Memory of Nikolai

On November 21st the worst occurred. Nikolai Hanson was waiting for the school bus on the first snowy morning of winter. Like all little kids running around enjoying the first snowfall. Natalie and Justin’s world came crashing down when Nikolai crossed the driveway at exactly the moment the family car came down. That split second every parent lives in terror happened to Justin and Natalie. The car couldn’t stop and Nikolai took one wrong step and lost his life.

Nothing can ever bring Nikolai back to Justin and Natalie and losing a child is losing a part of oneself. Those of us that grew up with Natalie know her loving heart and ours all break for her right now. Natalie and Justin were so appreciative of this fundraiser over the past week. They decided to establish a scholarship in Nikolai’s name for the soccer club he played with. This is a wonderful way to keep his memory alive through something he loved helping other kids that don’t have the resources to play.
