PLEASE KEEP THIS FROM JAKE!!!

Hi everyone,

As most of you will know by now, heartbreakingly, Jake’s Niamh passed away recently.

I’ve spoken with Mark Rushton, and Jake had mentioned wanting to create a small seating area in his garden — somewhere peaceful where he could sit, reflect, and think about everything. We’ve been talking, and thought it would be a lovely idea if we could come together and make this happen for him as a surprise.

The plan would be to raise a bit of money between us to cover materials, and I’m sure we have plenty of skills and willing hands within the group to help build it. If you’re able to contribute financially, donate materials, or offer any labour or practical help, it would be hugely appreciated.

The idea is to get Jake away for a few days and, while he’s gone, create a special space in his garden — somewhere peaceful where he can sit, remember Niamh, maybe plant a tree in her memory, and have a quiet place to feel close to her.

I have spoken to Helena who thinks this is a beautiful idea that he will really appreciate.

This is such a tragic time for him, and it would be wonderful if we could do something meaningful to bring even a small smile to his face.

Please keep this strictly between us so we can make it a proper surprise.

Any extra funds we may have can either go to Jake, as I’m sure the last few months have been hard financially, or to the Donna Louise Hospice.

Let’s pull together and do something special for Jake.
