In memory of Nelly Cuentas

Hello, our names are Frank, Rossy, and Joshua. We are the children of Nelly, and we are reaching out with a humble request for support during an incredibly difficult time in our lives. Our beloved mother, Nelly, passed away unexpectedly after suffering an ischemic stroke in Bolivia. We were able to travel to be by her side and say our goodbyes, but her loss has left us heartbroken and facing significant financial challenges. My mom was an amazing mother who loved us deeply. She had the strength to wait for us until we came to her side to say goodbye. She passed away in the hospital where she first met our dad, the very place where their story began. I still wonder why my mom left in such a hurry to Bolivia, but I know now that she spent her last days with her brothers and sisters. She made beautiful memories with them, and though they are left heartbroken, she left a huge impact on their lives. Only God knows why this happened to my mom, and why it happened in Bolivia. We are slowly trying to mourn her loss and ask God for guidance and reassurance.

We shared so many beautiful memories with our mom. This year, we traveled with her and visited many fun places with Jorah and Nyla. She spent every day with her grandchildren feeding them, walking with them, bathing them, and taking them to Costco (a lot!). She left a lasting impact on her babies, something they will never forget. My mom was the pillar of our home. She kept our family standing strong and took care of everything and everyone. She had an enormous amount of energy throughout the day and did it all without complaint. Most of all, she cherished her time with God. She went to church every Sunday, read her Bible every morning, gave to people in need, and always spoke of forgiveness. My mom’s heart was with God, and deep down, she was ready to be with Him. She was prepared to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, waiting for us to be with her one day. I pray I see her again, see her smile, and hug her. I love her so much, and I will miss her every day of my life. In addition to being a loving mother and grandmother, my mom was a dedicated nurse for 40 years, selflessly serving her community. She was a fierce advocate for justice and always stood up for those in need. Her compassion and generosity touched countless lives she gave her heart and soul not only to her patients, but also to her family, friends, and anyone facing hardship. No matter the situation, she was always there without question, ready to help those she loved.

The costs of emergency flights, medical expenses, and arranging her memorial service in Bolivia have placed a heavy burden on our family. In addition to these unexpected expenses, our father now faces the challenge of covering monthly bills such as rent and utilities until we are able to regain our footing and support him. Your generous contribution will help us:

Hola, nuestros nombres son Frank, Rossy y Joshua. Somos los hijos de Nelly, y nos acercamos con una humilde solicitud de apoyo durante un momento increíblemente difícil en nuestras vidas. Nuestra querida madre, Nelly, falleció inesperadamente después de sufrir un derrame cerebral isquémico en Bolivia. Pudimos viajar para estar a su lado y despedirnos, pero su pérdida nos ha dejado con el corazón roto y enfrentando importantes desafíos financieros. Mi madre era una madre increíble que nos amaba profundamente. Ella tuvo la fuerza para esperarnos hasta que nos llegué a su lado para despedirnos. Falleció en el hospital donde conoció a nuestro padre, el mismo lugar donde comenzó su historia. Todavía me pregunto por qué mi madre se fue a Bolivia con tanta prisa, pero ahora sé que pasó sus últimos días con sus hermanos y hermanas. Ella hizo hermosos recuerdos con ellos, y aunque se quedaron con el corazón roto, ella dejó un gran impacto en sus vidas. Solo Dios sabe por qué le pasó esto a mi madre y por qué le pasó a Bolivia. Estamos tratando lentamente de llorar su pérdida y pedirle a Dios guía y tranquilidad.

Compartimos muchos recuerdos hermosos con nuestra madre. Este año, viajamos con ella y visitamos muchos lugares divertidos con Jorah y Nyla. Pasaba todos los días con sus nietos alimentándolos, caminando con ellos, bañándolos y llevándolos a Costco (¡mucho!). Dejó un impacto duradero en sus bebés, algo que nunca olvidarán. Mi madre era el pilar de nuestra casa. Ella mantuvo a nuestra familia fuerte y se encargó de todo y de todos. Tenía una enorme cantidad de energía a lo largo del día y lo hizo todo sin quejarse. Sobre todo, ella apreciaba su tiempo con Dios. Ella iba a la iglesia todos los domingos, leía su Biblia todas las mañanas, daba a las personas necesitadas y siempre hablaba de perdón. El corazón de mi madre estaba con Dios, y en el fondo, estaba lista para estar con Él. Ella estaba preparada para entrar en el Reino de los Cielos, esperando que estuéramos con ella algún día. Rezo para volver a verla, verla sonreír y abrazarla. La quiero mucho, y la echaré de menos todos los días de mi vida. Además de ser una madre y abuela amorosa, mi madre fue una enfermera dedicada durante 40 años, sirviendo desinteresadamente a su comunidad. Ella era una feroz defensora de la justicia y siempre defendía a los necesitados. Su compasión y generosidad tocaron innumerables vidas, dio su corazón y su alma no solo a sus pacientes, sino también a su familia, amigos y a cualquier persona que se enfrenta a dificultades. No importa la situación, ella siempre estuvo allí sin duda, lista para ayudar a los que amaba.

Los costos de los vuelos de emergencia, los gastos médicos y la organización de su servicio conmemorativo en Bolivia han impuesto una pesada carga a nuestra familia. Además de estos gastos inesperados, nuestro padre ahora se enfrenta al desafío de cubrir facturas mensuales como el alquiler y los servicios públicos hasta que podamos recuperar nuestro equilibrio y apoyarlo.
