In Memory of Neferterneken (Nef) Francis

This fundraiser has been created in memory of my sister Neferterneken Francis.

This is possibly the hardest thing I've had to write, but let's start with the easy part. Neferterneken was a beautiful soul. She graced us with her presence for 42 years, and we wish it was many more.

Neferterneken's passion was to teach others, and she did that in every aspect of her life. She taught students in America and China the joy of chemistry, mentored students in their personal lives, and brought joy to all those who knew her.

Neferterneken was diagnosed with Stage Four renal cell carcinoma (cancer) in 2020. Doctors gave her less than a year to live. Where others would have given up, she stayed a positive light and lived her life the way she always has - to the fullest. Neferterneken traveled to the Caribbean to visit family, and all over the country to visit family and friends. She partied with her friends, and spoiled her nephews and other "adopted" children rotten.

Neferterneken held strong to her faith, even in the face of her health challenges. She would tell you that God had her, and that was all she needed. Heaven couldn't wait for her, and she was called home on April 4, 2024.

Neferterneken's wish was to celebrate life the way she lived it with everyone she knew, and we are planning a Celebration of Life in her honor to take place on May 19, 2024.

Please keep my mother Bernadine Francis, my sisters Nefertena Francis and Nefertari Taylor-Sims, and our entire family in your prayers as we remember her light and plan a Celebration that she will smile on.
