It is with a heavy heart and soul that we mourn the loss of Nathan Pewtress. A father, friend, and loving family man. On August 24th, 2025, Nathan ultimately lost the battle with his own mind, and with his sudden departure from our lives comes a great loss of words to explain the impact he made on this world.
Nathan left behind an unforgettable presence on many lives. As many of us know, if you crossed paths with him, you quickly learned that he was not bound by earthly possessions; in fact, he was quite the opposite in that he lived freely and was not held down or held back by any obstacle. He was unapologetically himself, and at times it may have been too much, but nevertheless, he pushed through. Nathan could make an entire room laugh in seconds and then be brought to tears in the next; his sense of humor was one of a kind.
Nathan lived an amazing and adventurous 50 years, or as he would say, you are already 1 year old at birth, so he would argue that he was already in his 51st year of life. He is survived by the loves of his life: Sarah Pewtress (soulmate), Brody Pewtress (son), Elizabeth Pewtress (daughter), Kylian James (grandson), Randy Pewtress (father), and many loving friends.
In our time of grief, we ask for any help with the arrangements to bring him home again and for anyone who will listen to understand that mental health issues are real. Anyone who knew Nathan would have never guessed this would take his life from us. You are not alone, and there is help for everyone who needs it. Your life is too precious and if you feel as if there is no one there for you. WE care about you and we NEED you here.
