In loving memory of Nana, a radiant soul who graced our lives with her warmth and kindness. Though her time with us was brief, her impact was profound. She possessed a rare light that illuminated the darkest corners and a spirit that embraced everyone she encountered. Her sudden departure leaves a void in our hearts, but her memory will forever be a beacon of love and inspiration. May she find eternal peace, and may her legacy continue to shine brightly through the lives she touched.
Narissa had been having lung and pulmonary issues since catching COVID twice in 2020 and 2022, and was admitted to ICU last week. On 11 May she suffered a severe asthma attack and consequently a heart attack. By the time she was transported to the ER, her brain and body had been without oxygen for over 30 minutes. She had no brain activity and her organs were failing. The hospital kept her on life support until her mother Natalia, father Edar and aunt Cookie arrived.
Taking the decision to switch off the life support was the hardest thing. Every moment leading up to that choice was a harrowing journey through anguish and despair. Their hearts were heavy with the weight of unimaginable grief, yet their minds were consumed by the relentless pursuit of what was best for their beloved daughter.
It was a decision borne of profound love and shattered hearts. But they knew it was the right decision and they know their baby is flying high.
The funds raised are to support her repatriation and funeral costs.
We are grateful and forever thankful for any contribution you are able to make.
Narissa will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who were touched by her compassion, he infectious smile, and her boundless optimism. Her memory will forever live on in our hearts, a testament to the enduring power of love and the beauty of a life well lived.
Many she rest in peace and rise in eternal glory.
