Nancy Ann Rheaume Hernandez
January 26, 1960 - April 15, 2019

In responding to many of you who have asked how you may help, please read what follows.

Mother to Sean and Brooke Hernandez, Nancy succumbed to her journey of battling cancer for over 2 years.  She left behind a legacy of love for her children,  their respective loves Michaela Gaffley, and Andrew Salazar;  mother, Sylvia(Roberge) and (the late) Raymond Rheaume;
siblings Debbie Rheaume and Jim Haskins, Denise(Rheaume) and Pete Gomez, Dawn Rheaume, and Robert and Sherdean(Rhule) Rheaume;
Eight nieces and nephews, Joshua Rashid and Justine Inman, Jessica(Rashid) and Matthew Federowicz, Tyler and Danielle Gomez, Austin and Kyle Rheaume;  One great-niece Rylee Federowicz.

Nancy was diagnosed with triple negative stage 2.5 breast cancer the beginning of March 2017.   Within her first year, she endured 16 rounds of 3 types of chemo, loss of hair, double mastectomy, and radiation. It was thought by the end of the year that she was cancer free, but a few months later the cancer came back with a vengeance, metastatic breast cancer stage 4, meaning it spread. She had a trial immunotherapy which cleared up what was going on, then move on to a second phase of the immunotherapy mixed with another trial. The cancer had a mind of its own, and moved faster than the treatments.  The last two weeks of her journey was spent in the hospital surrounded by family, and a few friends her last day. During her final hours she was encircled by family never leaving her side.

Nancy fought a good fight all the way to the end, with the love and support from family and friends.  A true warrior she never wavered in her faith and is a testament to all.

Nancy was very instrumental in helping her children with college and living expenses, always putting her children before her needs.  Sean is finishing up his doctoral program, and Brooke recently started her P.A. schooling.  Though Nancy's final expenses are taken care of,  expenses to close out her home, and medical bills will need to be satisfied.  It was Nancy's wish that those asking to make donations, or provide assistance, please consider helping her children make this transition.

On behalf of Nancy's children, and family, we thank each and everyone of you for your prayers and support.  Nancy has been an inspiration to many, and is truly missed.
