My name is Tina, and Myriah has been my dear friend for almost 30 years.

It is with a very heavy heart that I share the unbearable news that our beautiful, vibrant Myriah has left us far too soon.

Myriah was gorgeous, compassionate, funny, and loud. She grabbed everyone’s attention when she walked in a room. Most described her as a force to be reckoned with, and that would be spot on. Her thoughtfulness knew no bounds! I could go on and on, but anyone who had the privilege of knowing her knew the special force Myriah was!!

She never took enough credit for the amazing mother and friend she was, nor the amazing job she did of raising her own daughter, Lucy Rose, who at just 17 years old is now faced with the unimaginable challenge of navigating her final year of high school and beyond without her mother.

Since Myriah’s passing, many of you have reached out asking how you can help. We’ve created this fundraiser for our community to honor Myriah’s legacy and show our support to Lucy and the O’Neill family during this unfathomably difficult time.

All contributions to this fundraiser will go directly to supporting the immediate and long-term needs of Lucy, and provide the O’Neill’s the space to grieve. This includes a celebration of life for Myriah (date TBD), expenses related to Lucy’s senior year and continued collegiate pursuits, plus any and all unseen expenses that might arise for Lucy in the years to come.

Myriah wanted nothing more than to see Lucy achieve her dreams, and she dedicated her life to making sure Lucy had everything she needed to become the incredible young woman she is today: a student with countless honors and accolades who has scored in the top 5% in the nation on AP exams, a national debate winner, and a truly kind person just like her mother.

This beautiful, very intelligent, determined young lady deserves to focus on remembering her mother and pursuing her ambitions. And when I say ambitions, I mean ambitions. In her near future, she sees Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, law school, and more! And if there is anyone at all I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing who can accomplish this goal, it is Lucy Rose.
