Our names are Amanda and Kristen and together we write on behalf of Miriam Laboy, a loving and dedicated mother and aunt. We are trying to raise some money for her burial expenses. Those who knew her always knew her as a funny and strict woman, those who didn't have the pleasure of knowing her, always saw her smiling and welcoming no matter the circumstance.

Miriam suffered a devastating stroke and seizure about 26 years ago that robbed her of her ability to take care of herself and her child. Amanda was 15 when her mother became bedridden. Despite all that adversity she always managed to keep her family close. Miriam was like a second mother to me, and as a child, I would spend countless hours with her and my cousin Amanda. We grew up like sisters in a home full of family, grandma, auntie Miriam, my dad, and cousin. We knew this day would come but didn’t think it would come so soon. She will be deeply missed.

Now we would like to provide her with a proper burial and to do so we need your help.
