In Memory of My Beloved Brother Dan Vang

Donation protected
Hello to everyone, this is the first time I've done anything like this and didn't really know how to say this or what to say, but I thought about my brother and the kind of person he was and I wanted to share this with you, so here goes...
Update:
We lost my dear brother on 8/24 at 12:04pm. He was only 47 years old and the youngest of 6 siblings. He's my baby brother and we call him our little Superman because he's always been the strongest and most talented out of all of us. You name it and he could do it. He had a heart of gold and touched so many lives in his short lifetime here with us. My brother was the kind of person that brought flowers to his sisters every birthday, valentine's day and mother's day. He's the kind of person that takes his sisters to visit moms gravesite, gives hugs and tells us he loves us and will always be there for us (even though he's the little brother). He's the kind of brother that calls to make sure we are eating right, drinking lots of water and taking care of ourselves. He makes the treck out from Vancouver in his old beatup truck just to check on dad and then also stops by to visit his sister at least once or twice a week. That's just who my little Superman was. As I write this the tears stream down my face and my heart aches so badly and I miss him so much, but I know he wouldn't want that, instead he would want to encourage others to live a good life and if he could do it over again this is what he would say...(lyrics from Standing Room Only by Tim McGraw), "I wanna live a life, live a life like a dollar and the clock on the wall don't own me. Shine a light, shine a light like mama's front porch when I'm lost and lonely. Start forgiving and start forgetting, be someone that's worth remembering. Live a life so when I die there's standing room only, standing room only." My brother's message for everyone is to live a life worth living, to be a shining light to others, forgive and forget - build meaningful relationships and let go of possessions. My brother fought so hard to live because he had so much to live for (he wanted to see his only son get married). His heart stopped 3 times and he came back each time defying the odds, but after 2.5 weeks of fighting for his life, we lost him. He has left behind his wife, son and his son's fiance (Angela), whom his world revolved around. He brought joy and laughter to all those who knew him and touched so many lives.

Many of you have asked how you could help and I'm creating this that those who want to show their love and support for the family can do so. I know that times are hard for everyone right now so please don't feel bad if you can't give. Your prayers for the family are also just as important if not more so. Please accept my thanks in advance and know that your contributions are appreciated so much. The funds will go to his son for anything he may need.
May God bless you all for your love and support. Remember to love and cherish as time is just to short.

With kind regards,
Dan's sister (Mai)
