With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Muath Abdel Hamid of the Network & Operations team. The news of Muath’s passing comes as a shock to his friends and co-workers at MSK.
Many who worked with Muath remember him as a career-focused employee with a steady demeanor, who was always willing to help a colleague in need. Despite being the first on the team to contract COVID-19, Muath performed his work diligently and was instrumental in migrating users to work from home.
On a personal level, Muath was affable and deeply committed to his family, especially his daughter, Jazmeen. Muath also supported his parents in Jordan, ensuring they received proper medical treatment and care.
We will sorely miss Muath’s kindness and friendship in addition to his contributions to MSK.
