The sudden and tragic loss of Karen Brown has profoundly impacted the Saint John’s community, where she dedicated 17 years of service as a secretary, teacher's aide, and daycare worker. Karen was a shining beacon of kindness, love, and joy, bringing light into the lives of everyone she encountered. Her infectious laughter, compassionate heart, and playful personality touched the hearts of many, extending her influence beyond Saint John’s to Saint Jerome’s, Ballz Out, Tara Hills, Rodeo Baseball, Salesian’s High School, Saint Mary’s High School, Eastbay Xplosion, club sports, and CYO. Known affectionately as a second mom to all of her children's friends, Karen’s generosity knew no bounds, often offering rides to students to and from school. Before her children, her community extended to El Monte, Portola, Presentation, Holy Names, and California State Hayward. Despite her sudden departure, Karen’s legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched.

Karen, a Bay Area native, forged deep connections with an extensive network of friends who became cherished extended family members. Fondly referred to as Karen, Mrs. Brown, Auntie, Gigi, Mom, and notably as one of the twins, she will forever be remembered for her unwavering dedication and boundless love.
