I, Eleanor Mayfield, am the mother of Monique Sunshine Still Shining Mayfield Pugh, who passed away on February 17, 2025, at Norton’s Hospital on Chestnut Street in Louisville Kentucky. The reason for this GoFundMe is to raise funds to pay for her funeral arrangements because she couldn’t get insurance due to having cancer.

The type of cancer my daughter had was multiple myeloma. Monique had been battling cancer for five years. She was a bright soul who loved to be around friends and family. I am deeply saddened because no mother or parent should have to bury their child. If anyone knew Sunshine loved to cook and feed anyone she called it Sunshine's Kitchen. If someone needed help she would try to help ,she had a pure and loving heart.
