In Memory of Mona Sue Coyler 1951 - 2025
Beloved Mother, Sister, and Mother-in-Law, a Way That You Can Help....

Mona was a small-town woman with small town values and concerns and yet she was so much more.

She loved her family, son, in-laws and sister the way only a mother and sister can.

She was a fierce animal lover and advocate. She didn't even want to set mousetraps, and insisted on catch-live-traps where she could release them outside.

Mona was quick to laugh and quicker to tell a terrible joke. She delighted in terrible jokes. The worse, the better...

"Wanna hear a good pizza joke?" she would say. Then, "Never mind, it's too cheesy!"

"A man knocked on my door today, asking for donations for the local swimming pool! So, I gave him a glass of water!"

Mona, Mom, sent out jokes like these all the time. Here's the very last one she sent before she died....

"I got a pet termite and named him Clint! Clint eats wood!"

Mona was a little tiny woman living in a very small little house. Most of her family except for Raymond, a couple nephews and nieces, and her sister, were gone. She was getting lonely at the end, but she didn't want to move to Kansas City.

She hated flowers. She was very allergic. After her mother passed, she pretty much let all the flowers that were around the outside of the house die because just going out and getting the car to go get groceries, the pollen had the tears streaming. She didn't really like chocolates all that much. This was a hard lady to get anything for.

You know what's something else she hated? Funerals. With a passion. She didn't even care for graveside services, and the one for her mother was rough on her. She didn't want any of that.

But even though there will be no funeral per se, that doesn't mean that there haven't been quite a few expenses.

And where we could use help is in a way that would really honor her.

That would be with a marker for her final resting place. No big obelisk, or anything ostentatious. She would not have liked that.

For something nice, understated, and not too big, we're looking at something about $3,000.

Right now, with everything that has needed done, three thousand dollars is an awful lot of money for us....

So, in lieu of flowers and all of that kind of thing, if there is anyone who would like to help out, and to do something wonderful that would be a far more lasting gesture of consolation and respect to Mona's memory, we are starting this GoFundMe. Raising money to buy a grave marker for this wonderful lady.

Every dollar helps. Don't for one minute thing it has to be a lot of money. A dollar. Five Dollars. Ten....

Anything would help. And every time we stand at her grave, and we will, every time we stand there and look down at her name, what will hit us is that people helped in such a beautiful and generous way.

Thank you all for any help.
Much love to you all,
Raymond, Ben, Noah ...
