Hello everyone,
I never thought I’d be writing this, but I’m reaching out to ask for a little help as we prepare to lay my mother to rest. My mom was a proud, strong, and loving woman who never liked to ask for anything. She always carried her own burdens and did everything she could to take care of others.
On August 11, she began feeling weak and had no appetite. We thought she just needed fluids and rest, so we took her to the hospital. What we thought would be a simple visit quickly turned into our worst fear. She was in septic shock, and the doctors discovered she was battling a blood infection, pneumonia, anemia, uncontrolled diabetes, and very low blood pressure.
For a week and a half, my mom fought with everything she had. We prayed and held on to hope, but on August 21, she was tired and ready to go home to the Lord. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her family and the people who loved her most.
My mom gave us everything she could in life, and now it’s our turn to honor her the way she deserves. If you are able to help in any way—big or small—it will go toward her funeral service and any other unexpected costs that come up. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
