On May 21st, at 10:42 pm, my mom gained her wings and access into the kingdom above. She fought so very hard not only her whole life but until her very last breath. She waited until we told her it was okay and to go be with her mom and dad. She was maxed out on pressors along with 100% oxygen from the ventilator. She had lung cancer but during her rehab at the nursing home, picked up a superbug non-resistant to antibiotics. She loved life no matter the obstacles that were thrown her way. Resilient wasn't a strong enough word to describe her. No one is perfect and we could always do better, but my mom tried hard everyday. My mom being the way she is and not wanting to be a burden even after her passing told us in the past to just have her cremated. As we've respected all her wishes up to her last breath of letting her fight until the end, we are willing to have her cremated, but I would love to have a memorial service for her to have one last goodbye. To see her one last time, to thank her one last time. The amount asked for covers; her cremation along with a service. It also covers the pickup fee from the hospital, a rental casket, death certificates, cremation permit etc. Saying goodbye to not just a loved one but your one and only mom is something I never wanted to imagine living through especially this early in my life. But I'm so thankful for all the memories. Anything and everything helps and I just want to thank all in advance, as so many have done so much with just the constant thoughts and prayers. Please come together and help me make this a reality as I remember to strive for sanity during such a darkened time for my family and I.
