With heavy hearts the staff at Porter Valley Country Club are saddened to report that we have lost one of our own on Monday, May 6, 2019.  Mitchell Lewis suddenly and unexpectedly passed away at the age of 28.  Mitch had just been recently promoted as our First Assistant Golf Professional and joined the Porter Valley team in September of 2018.

Mitch was raised in Valencia and attended Saugus High School.  He matriculated to Boise State University where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English with an emphasis in Literature.  He returned to California to pursue a career in teaching but quickly shifted his focus to the Golf and Country Club business. 

Mitch was involved with golf at an early age and worked assisting junior programs at both Woodland Hills Country Club and Lakeside Golf Club where he also served the Membership as a caddy.  Mitch previously worked at TPC Valencia and Woodland Hills Country Club.  Mitch was a consummate professional who quickly got to know our Membership and was always polite, polished and pleasant.  He will be sorely missed.  Please join Porter Valley Country Club and Club Corp in remembering Mitch fondly.
