This fundraiser aims to raise funds for Beccles Hospice and Cervical cancer prevention charities to help prevent other women suffering like Miranda did.
About Miranda
Mum was the most selfless person I will ever know. After an impressive but impossible battle with cervical cancer, she passed away peacefully and in her sleep at 1:20AM on 4th June 2025. Miranda dedicated all of her life to being a good mother, wife and a carer in her community.
At just 58 years old, Mum's impact on others was enormous. Yet her life was taken from her too early. HPV vaccinations can prevent over 90% of cervical cancer-related deaths and frequent screening is thought to prevent up to 83%.
How this fundraiser will support Miranda's Wishes
Money raised first help make sure that Mum's funeral is as she wanted, with her favourite flowers (white Lillies and red Roses) wrapping her coffin and dressing the Church ceremony.
Further donations are collected to support the Hospice where Miranda spent the final 2 months of her life. The staff there are amazing.
Additional funds raised via fundraising efforts will go to Cervical cancer prevention charities, primarily for middle-aged women where the risk of abnormal cells is higher and lifestyle choices often mean cervical screening is lower.
East Coast Community Hospice in Beccles War Memorial Hospital took great care of Mum and we thank the staff there for making her last moments so filled with laughter.
Thank you for any of your donations.
