In Loving Memory of Miguel Stemley

We come to you today on behalf of the grieving wife and family of our beloved Miguel Stemley. Miguel was a devoted family man and a tireless worker who dedicated his life to caring for those he loved and giving back to his community. Even in his final hours, he was doing just that—working selflessly as an Uber driver to support his family.

Tragically, while dropping off a group of passengers, Miguel was the victim of an attempted carjacking. In the course of a brief struggle, his life was senselessly taken.

This devastating loss has shaken all who knew and loved Miguel. He was a light to many, and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled. The outpouring of support from the community has been overwhelming, and we are deeply grateful.

In response to the many who have reached out wishing to help, we have created this GoFundMe to formally receive financial donations. These contributions will go directly to supporting Miguel’s wife and family during this incredibly difficult time as they navigate life without him.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the individuals who rushed to assist—those who helped remove the truck from Miguel, the EMS responders, and the New Orleans Police Department. Your courage and compassion mean more than words can express.
