We’re raising money in memory of Mick (also known as Michael or Mike to many) to create a memorial bench in Rusthall – a place that meant a lot to him. We hope it will be somewhere people can sit, take a moment, and think of him.

He meant so much to so many of us, and we’d love to have something simple, peaceful, and lasting in a place so close to him.

Mick lived with dementia for the last three years of his life and passed away peacefully on 23rd April 2026. Any money raised will first go towards the bench, and anything beyond that will be donated to a charity supporting people and families affected by dementia.

His funeral will take place on 20th May at 12:15 at Kent & Sussex Crematorium, Tunbridge Wells. All are welcome, and we’ll be gathering afterwards at The High Rocks.

There’s absolutely no expectation to give – just having you there, or thinking of him, means everything. But if you would like to contribute, we’re really grateful.
