Michael was a proud Londoner born in Tottenham and attended Devonshirehill school.

Michael came from a large family and was one of 10 children.

In the 80's Mike found his way to Devon where he settled and lived out his days in his flat in Ernesettle where he was well known throughout the community.

Michael had a huge love of Tottenham Horspur F.C and was proud to say he played for them in his youth. Micheal loved football, horse racing, bingo and his newspapers as well as his cigarettes and cigar's.

Michael had a huge love for animals and had a few pets over the years , he especially loved children and had a generous kind heart, often handing out pennies for the ice cream van, I was often gifted with treats throughout my childhood and he extended his kindness to my own children as they grew up.

Micheal was well known in his community and loved so very much, he had a likability about him due to his cheeky chappy personality and his old school ways.

Mike had some health struggles early on but he was commendable and never let them define him, he continued to be humble, proud and generous.

Although Mike spoke very little about his family life before he came to Plymouth he was able to create his own family with the friends he made along his travels and in his community.

It Is with a very heavy heart that I mention that Michael passed away peacefully in his sleep today at 11.30am.

Mike was accompanied by his wonderful neighbour Carol who spent endless hours providing for him in his hours of need and for that I'll always be incredibly grateful because she went above and beyond to show kindness and make him feel loved.

Mike was loved so so much and everyone who knows him has a story to tell.

Mike was never materialistic and he lived his life very simply which Is why I've created this fund page.

We hope to speak to the council and have a bench placed within the ernesettle shops area where he visited weekly and stopped off for his cig before returning home.

If we can we would loved to add a plaque so we have somewhere to sit and reminisce about Micheal and how he impacted us .

Micheal really was Plymouth's finest Londoner and deserves to be rich in love from all who knew him.
