My family is still in shock about the sudden death of Michael Laitinen on June 3 from a heart attack. A hard working single father, at far too tender an age his daughter has now lost both parents and my mom Elizabeth Laitinen has lost her only son. Our heartache is beyond measure and our grief is deeper than than the sea to lose my brother just a few years after losing my father. 

Just 48 years old, my brother was widely known for his wood working and carpentry skills throughout the South Shore. As a self employed contractor he built or renovated many a house over the years. Quick with a smile and a joke he was well known and well liked by many. 

It is extremely difficult for me to ask for help, but our family is overwhelmed by grief and unexpected funeral expenses. Monies raised will go toward funeral expenses  and creating a scholarship fund for his daughter Ally. We are extremely grateful and appreciative of any donations.
