In Memory of Michael Gomez: Support His Loved Ones

Michael A. Gomez was a true diamond in the rough.

At first glance, you wouldn't know that he had a heart of gold and a laugh that, just upon hearing it, immediately brightened your day. You wouldn't know that he loved his family and friends with a fierce, unwavering loyalty. Call him for help, and he would be there quickly with a smile and a joke. Ask Michael what he is most proud of, and he wouldn't hesitate to tell you his family, but more specifically, his beautiful 5-year-old daughter. He loved that girl with his whole being, calling her every day on his lunch break to see her face and make her smile, but most of all, to let her know how much he loved her.

Michael was working towards a brighter future, not only for himself but his family. He wanted to make a difference, even if it was just to those he interacted with.

In a senseless act of violence, Michael was taken from this world, 3 days before the new year in the early hours of Sunday (12/29). His family and coworkers are stunned, trying to understand why.
