My name is Yanitzia, and I’m from Middletown, NY. It breaks my heart to share that my loving and devoted father, Melquides Espino Trejo, has unexpectedly passed away.

My father immigrated to the U.S. from Mexico on his own and raised me as a single parent. For as long as I can remember, it was just the two of us. Life wasn’t always easy, but he always made sure I had a warm meal, clean clothes, and a safe home filled with love.

He was my biggest supporter—especially in my journey to become a Special Education teacher. He encouraged me to focus on school while he worked tirelessly to support us.

Now, as I grieve this incredible loss, I’m also facing the financial burden of covering his funeral, cremation, and remaining bills.

Me llamo Yanitzia y soy de Middletown, Nueva York. Me rompe el corazón compartir que mi querido y devoto padre, Melquides Espino Trejo, falleció inesperadamente.

Mi padre emigró solo a Estados Unidos desde México y me crió como padre soltero. Desde que tengo memoria, solo éramos los dos. La vida no siempre fue fácil, pero siempre se aseguró de que tuviera una comida caliente, ropa limpia y un hogar seguro y lleno de amor.

Fue mi mayor apoyo, especialmente en mi camino para convertirme en maestra de Educación Especial. Me animó a concentrarme en la escuela mientras él trabajaba incansablemente para apoyarnos.

Ahora, mientras lamento esta increíble pérdida, también enfrento la carga financiera de cubrir su funeral, cremación y los gastos restantes.
