Thank you to everyone who contributed. We've exceeded our goal! We are in the process of scheduling a site visit at the Prospect Park Zoo, in Brooklyn New York.

Melissa was an adventurer, an avid runner, a lover of frogs, and left an impression with all she met. 

New York City's energy was the perfect complement to her bright personality. Since 2011, she's called this city her home. She had dreams of living in Brooklyn this Summer with her boyfriend Carl Sednaoui, who also lost his life in the accident.

With her love for animal and this vibrant city we'd like to purchase a bench within the Wildlife Conservation Society (Prospect Park Zoo, Central Park Zoo, or Bronx Zoo) for public viewing. 

We are currently working out bench placement, and additional logistics.
