This has got to be one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. My beautiful granddaughter, Meilah Mae, born on 10/10/24, passed away unexpectedly as she was sleeping on Saturday morning. As a mother and grandmother, I have an intense need to protect my children and grandchildren, to shield them from pain; however, I am unable to do that and it kills me. Words cannot describe the shock, pain, confusion, and sorrow our family is feeling right now. My heart bleeds for my daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. The excitement of welcoming their new baby sissy into their world, only to have her taken so soon, so unexpectedly, so unfairly.

As you can imagine, there was no rush in attaining life insurance for a newborn. In addition to trying to grieve, arrangements have to be made. Time off of work is inevitable and expenses will continue to compile. I am pleading for help to provide a bit of financial support to lessen their load during this already extremely difficult time. While trying to navigate the most inconceivably hard loss, the large cost of planning a funeral, the mortgage, and living expenses should be the least of their concern. I ask that you not reach out to Dylan or Sierra personally to allow them privacy and time to process their loss.
