Mei An Kimberly Douros was born in China on January 8, 2001. Her name at birth was Zhu Bing Qian. She was found in the police station in An Hui Province, China with a note attached, "This baby was born on January 8, 2001. With your good heart, take care of her." She became an American citizen on December 14, 2001, and was brought to the US via United Air Lines Flight 803 into San Francisco. "Mei An" is the Chinese derivative of her adoptive mother's name, which means "Beautiful Peace."
Mei was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and had only in the last few years started to ride street bikes and learn the roads of her hometown of Grass Valley and the surrounding areas. She was a loving person who devoted all of her time and efforts into making connections with anyone and everyone she could. She shared her passion for riding motorcycles with everyone she came into contact with. Everyone who knows her knows just how special of a person she really was and how tragic of a loss this is to all of us.
I am creating this donation for their family to help with the costs of the funeral and help ease the pain of having to lay their baby girl to rest. With the permission of the family, everything collected will be donated directly to the family. Anything is appreciated, let's help our riding family in need.
