Just three months ago, my family suffered the heartbreaking loss of my older sister. We were still trying to process that grief, still trying to hold each other together, when tragedy struck again.

My sister Mecca passed away suddenly after suffering a massive stroke at only 39 years old.

To lose one sister unexpectedly is devastating. To lose two within months of each other feels impossible to put into words. Our family is in complete shock and deep grief as we try to navigate a reality that still does not feel real.

Mecca was loved deeply. She was vibrant, caring, funny, strong, and the kind of person whose presence filled a room. She was a daughter, a sister, a friend, and so much more to so many people. The silence left behind by her passing is overwhelming.

We are asking for support to help our family cover funeral and memorial expenses, as well as grief support services as we try to survive the weight of losing two daughters, two sisters, two loved ones so suddenly and so close together.
