On Tuesday 16th August our friends Claire Richardson, Abel Smee and Owen Smee Richardson lost their beautiful 18-year-old son and brother Maxwell Smee Richardson to suicide.
Max; a big-hearted, active and creative boy, was special to so many people and the news of his tragic passing has led to an outpouring of grief in the community and a desire to help the family in a meaningful way.
One way we can help Abel, Claire and Owen is to give them the time and space to grieve Max without the pressure of work and everyday financial worries.
Everyone who knows this family knows what generous people they are.
After initial hesitation over accepting financial support, we have their permission to set up this fundraiser as a practical way for us all to help when many of us feel helpless and are also processing our own grief over losing Max.
We can give our dear friends breathing space as they come to terms with a life without their Maxwell.
If you'd like to make a contribution, we'd be very grateful.
A portion of the money raised will be donated to a mental health organisation/organisations of the family's choice.
Thank you,
