In Memory of Maxwell Perkins
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Andrea, Max's sister.
I've opened this GoFundMe at the request of many of Max's friends who loved him dearly. To quote one of his friends, he was, "the glue that held us together for a long time".
When I think of Max, I think of delicious lasagna, and I think of the way his eyes lit up when he talked about something he LOVED - which was Civil War Reenactments. I think of the way he marched around our living room while watching the film Gettysburg, playing pretend and re-enacting at 5 years old.
I don't think he had a mean bone in his body. He loved everybody, and had the sweetest heart. He donated to Foodlink on a regular basis, and gave everything even up to the very end - Max was able to donate his heart, lungs, kidneys and liver.
I feel strange "asking for money", but I know people want to help, and I am thankful for that. I cherish and am so appreciative for the people in this world whose lives he touched, and I had no idea there were so many.
Anything raised will go to helping with funeral costs. If there is any money left over after funeral expenses, the rest will be donated to Foodlink.
Calling hours will be on Friday, February 2nd, from 4-7 pm at Vay-Schleich and Meeson in Greece. The funeral will be on Saturday, February 3rd, at 10 am at Oakwood Cemetery. I'm trying to get some local re-enactors to come and fire cannons in his memory.
