In Memory of "Mama" Maxine Bringenberg
Donation protected
As much as we try and prepare for losing our loved ones, we're never truly ready when the time comes.
On April 24th, we lost a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend.
Maxine was a beloved, kind and compassionate soul. Everyone who got to know her would feel her truly loving and nurturing energy that radiated and touched everyones hearts. She was known as "Mama Maxine" and many were so fortunate to experience her genuinely adoring motherly essence. Everyone who came through her front door was treated as one of her family. And though she had no biological grandchildren of her own (a point she reminded my sister and I of frequently), she was "MawMaw" to many of her "adopted" grandchildren over the years.
Mom loved her family more than anything, but after that came her love for the water. Growing up in Florida, I remember her taking us to the beach multiple times a week. She loved being near the sound of the waves, searching for shells, and helping us build sand castles. After moving back to Florida after 20 years up north, she frequently mentioned how happy she was to be back and wanted to be near the water as much as she possibly could.
In the later years of her life, it started to become difficult for her to do most things on her own. This is when dad stepped in and started doing whatever necessary to take care of her, while many times sacrificing his needs and desires in order to make her well being a priority. Even though difficult at times, he would always do whatever it took to make her happy and comfortable.
As our family faces this great loss, it is inevitable to become overwhelmed with all the end-of-life preparations that come with it. In lieu of a traditional funeral, we will be having a gathering of family and friends at her favorite park on the water in early June and we hope that you can help celebrate her life with us. More details will be announced as we finalize the arrangements over the next week
Any and all donations are eternally appreciated and will go towards all of the expenses related to end-of-life services and memorial planning.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for your compassion and support in this difficult time.
