In Loving Memory of Maximino Plaza
Here at Curaleaf’s Homestead facility, we're more than co-workers, we’re a family. And right now, our family is hurting after the sudden and heartbreaking loss of our friend and teammate, Maximino Plaza.
Maximino wasn’t just someone we worked with — he was someone we laughed with, shared stories with, leaned on during hard days. He was kind, gentle, and always easy to talk to. If you knew Max (as many of us called him), you know how much he cared about the people around him. He had a quiet strength and a good heart, and we all felt it.
Max had been part of our team for 7 years and was a huge part of our packaging crew. He showed up every day with a steady hand and a calm spirit, and his absence is deeply felt by all of us. We’ll miss everything about him — even the little things, like seeing his white motorcycle parked outside every morning. It was a small reminder that Max was there — ready to work, ready to help, ready to bring a little peace to our day.
We’re coming together now to support Max’s family during this difficult time — to help with funeral expenses and anything else they might need in the days ahead. If you’re able to give, we’d be so grateful. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference.
Thank you for helping us honor Max and support the people he loved most.
With love,
