On 11/8/2018, the Rains family tragically lost their 8 year old son, Max. His adventurous and funny spirit will be missed by all of his friends and family.  This money will go towards medical and funeral costs. Anything additional will be used for Nina’s education.

Update: The Rains family wants to thank you all for the overwhelming show of love and support at this confusing time. We never fully understood how important it is to be surrounded by love during a crisis. That is until now, thanks to each of you.
Max was our biggest dream come true. He was pure love, whose departure seems to have brought a lot of people closer. Maybe that was the intent. Nevertheless, our family couldn't have managed without the love we were shown. We can't help but feel that many of you also nurtured each other during this time since one loss can unhinge unclaimed memories and past grief. Thank you for taking care of each other. Max taught us to love deeper and that can't ever be taken away.
