In Memory of Matthew Wenk

Hi, My name is Helen Barba. I’m setting up this Gofundme to help out a family that’s very dear to my family and I.

On the morning of August 19th 2021 we tragically lost our 20 year old son, little brother and an uncle Matthew Wenk to a horrible accident. We could have never imagined this to happen, and it has turned our world literally upside down. Matthew was the most loving, caring, and smartest person I know. Growing up, Matthew always seeked out adventure and to help others. He went on a mission trip to Poland. He also helped build bridges and much more in Costa Rica. He was a good part of his youth group at St. Peter's. Matthew was due to go on to Graduate school to obtain his Masters degree. He accomplished so much, in such a short time. We still cant process what has happened, I am asking you to send your love and prayers to the Wenk family of Islip Terrace during this time.
