In Memory of Matt: Funeral and Family Support

With the permission of Matt's immediate family, I have created this GoFundMe to help raise funds for the unexpected and heartbreaking cost of burying a child. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to help cover funeral expenses and support the family as they navigate this unimaginable grief.

Matt was enjoying the summer sun with friends at the beach when he was unexpectedly pulled under. Volunteers and friends spent hours searching for him without success. At this time, please keep his family in prayer as we walk through this tragedy.

Matt had an absolute love for life. As the youngest sibling, he loved making others laugh and always had a smile to share. Whenever he was out with his mom, he would walk up to people and say, "See that short white lady? That's my mom." When he wasn't being the family clown, he could be found with a football or basketball, trying to start a pick-up game with anyone willing. If he wasn't playing a game, he was watching his favorite team, the NY Giants. He was never afraid to say I love you.

In the heartbreak, the family finds comfort in knowing Matt chose a relationship with the Lord and is holding to the promise that they will see him again.
