My name is Robert Landry. In the early morning of Wednesday, September 17th, my mother MaryAnn Robertson passed away after a 9-month battle with cancer. 8 days before her passing she was hospitalized with Covid. She was discharged with home hospice care in the evening of Monday the 15th. As I had also tested positive for covid, I had been unable to visit her until the last day of her hospital stay. Due to the dramatic and unexpected acceleration of her decline and our quarantine, we were unsuccessful in finalizing all the paperwork to make this transition as simple as possible. We had an appointment to get the paperwork notarized at 8am on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers and cards, I am asking her professional, personal, and artistic communities, as well as my own communities, and generous strangers, to consider contributing to my gofundme to help me with living and legal expenses for the next couple of months while I wait for the wheels of bureaucracy to turn, as I have only been working part-time for several years since my primary role in life became acting as her caregiver. I am hoping I can raise $7500.

If I have underestimated the support people are willing and able to offer during this difficult time, any additional funds will be split three ways between myself, my brother Jonathan, and to establish an education fund for his daughter Elliana.
