With heavy hearts, we share that my husband Mark Baxter has passed away after a courageous two year battle with glioblastoma, which is a very aggressive brain tumor. He fought with strength, grace, and quiet determination until the very end despite numerous surgeries and intense chemotherapy.

Mark was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, a man who carried his sense of duty and integrity into every part of his life. He was the kind of person who showed up for others without being asked, who believed in doing things the right way, and who never stopped caring for the people he loved.

At home, Mark was happiest with a grill fired up, surrounded by family, laughter, and good conversation & watching his New Orleans Saints on the big screen. Cooking for others was one of the ways he showed love. Above all else, Mark deeply loved me and my children. Their bond was real, steady, and full of devotion, and they stood by his side every step of this journey.
