In Loving Memory of Marisol Payero

We are heartbroken to share that Marisol Payero passed away on Monday night, October 27th, 2025.

Marisol was just 22 years old and was close to completing her final semester at Kennesaw State University, where she was studying History Education with two minors in Classical Studies and Latino American Studies. She had always said she would become a professor, learn dying languages, and recreate the Taíno language herself so that history and the people who came before us would never be forgotten.

She had a natural gift for humor, always ready with a quick quip and a bright smile that could warm any room.

This GoFundMe has been created to help support Marisol’s family during this incredibly difficult time. All funds raised will go toward funeral expenses and to help her loved ones as they grieve her loss.
