Hi, I’m Gabriela, and on Wednesday, October 01, 2025, my brother Marcus Carrera was called home to be with our Lord, our grandfather, and all of our loved ones who we loved and lost. In 2020, he was in an accident with the details being vague that left him with a severe brain injury. When he came home from the hospital, he was childlike and had to relearn a lot of things. My mom was his main caregiver, and though things were rough in the beginning of his recovery, they never gave up. He was determined to do everything on his own, and while he was a lot better, his life was still cut short. I think he was just tired of hurting, and on Oct. 01st, he texted my mom that he loved her and went to sleep. We knew his quality of life was not the same as before, but we never anticipated that he wouldn’t wake up. Update: while his services have long passed we are still in debt since we had to borrow the money to have his services. Anything we receive will go towards repayment of loan. Thank you
